This is an analysis of voyeurism and its motivations behind it. Focusing on the compositions of Edward Hopper & Alfred Hitchcock while keeping in mind the theoretical ideas of Mulvey’s ‘The Male Gaze’. Peering into the lives of numerous characters, each scenario builds to a climax that creates a desire for the spectator to keep watching.
